Step by Step
Kaley has officially taken her first steps. And guess who was there to see them?? Mommy and Daddy! Yay. It is so hard to believe that she is already at this stage. We love watching her gain new skills but this one is awesome. We are so proud of our big girl. Sunday she took her first couple of steps and by tonight she is already taking around 12 and is catching her balance! More posting to come after the holidays (and by that I mean Thanksgiving but knowing me it might be the New Year...)! Hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday season!

PARTY PARTY PARTY
The first birthday party was a great success! We had a few friends and family over for dinner and fun. I won't go into too much detail because photos are always better than words.

PRESENTS!!!
Yummy cake!
Yum, Yum, Yum! (She didn't get too messy but we did have to take the cake away from her or she would have eaten the whole thing!

Birthday Fun!
Last friday morning I woke up to find a one year old in my baby girl's crib! I couldn't believe it. We started off the morning opening up family presents. Kaley got a huge stuffed puppy from mommy and daddy as well as some fun CD's.
Next up...a tool belt from Uncle Brett and Aunt Bethany. Along with some great Leap Frog toys and some super cute clothes (more pics to come in the clothes but she is wearing one pair of the pants in the zoo pics).
Kaley also got a tunnel from Granny and Pop but we haven't taken any pics of that yet. After presents I made Kaley a special breakfast of whole wheat strawberry pancakes. YUMMY! She loved them. After nap time it was off to the zoo. We started off at the House of Primates which was definitely Kaley's favorite. She loves her monkeys! She really enjoyed looking at all of the animals and just spending the day outside. The weather could not have been more perfect for her first trip to the zoo.

Penguins with Granny
Family photo! (Yes mommy is in a wheelchair but don't worry she is fine now.)
The next day Granny and Pop headed to Lubbock for the TX Tech OSU game and we went to meet Gramps for 1 year pictures.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl - November 7, 2008
Here's to you our sweet little one:
It is hard to believe you have been with us for a year! It seems like just yesterday you were only a dream to daddy and me. We waited and waited for nine long months and then in a single moment our lives were forever changed in the most amazing way. The moment we saw you we fell in love...
Growing more with each passing day you continued to be the greatest joy in our lives...
Mommy soon noticed your head wasn't quite so round...
But it sure didn't stop you from growing and changing! With a little bit of therapy and your cute little band...
Perfectly round is what we got...
Summer was the time for more family fun, swimming at Granny and Pops was definitely the best...
As we started to gear up for that big one year mark...
What a difference a year makes...
We can't tell you enough how much we love and treasure you. This has been the best year of our lives and we can't wait to see what the coming years will bring.
All our love,
Mommy and Daddy

And with each passing moment our love continued to grow. Our daily life changed more than we expected but we treasured every moment of it. How much you changed in just one month was simply amazing. We went from waking you every three hours to feed you to sleeping 6-7 hours at a time. How truly blessed we were...
Another month did pass with many many changes. What fun it was to show you off; we were truly proud parents and wanted everyone to get the chance to know our sweet baby girl...Growing more with each passing day you continued to be the greatest joy in our lives...

This ninth month was a big one with lots of firsts: mommy's first trip away, first tooth, and crawling! Such a happy girl, you are truly an angel...
More smiles, laughs, and fun we did have...As we started to gear up for that big one year mark...

My Little Munch
What a fun weekend we had last weekend. Started off with Halloween and a cute little bunny rabbit!

Kaley...are you feeding Bayla your carrot?

Look at that little tail!

Then it was time to get your game face on to upset those horns...or maybe that's her "gangsta" look. Anyways, we had a great time watching the Tech game. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of her in all her tech gear...but don't worry football season is not quite over!

Not much else to post. I am preparing for a long post on Friday for the big first birthday.
