Sick and Tired

Brief recap:
~Kaley wakes up with cold~Gives cold to sister~Jaelynn gets worse~Kaley gets better~Take Jaelynn to the Dr~Jaelynn has bronchiolitis~2 prescriptions and an order for a nebulizer to be delivered home~Kaley starting to sound worse~Kaley throws up in car~Take Kaley to Dr~Kaley has bronchiolitis and a double ear infection~4 more prescriptions~3 nebulizer treatments per day x 2 girls x 7-15 days=A LOT of treatments!

Surprisingly both girls are doing really well. Kaley has never once complained about her ears. I would never have known she had ear infections if we didn't go to the doctor. Makes me wonder if she has had them before!? Kaley is such an angel with her nebulizer treatments. She just sits down on the couch and acts like it is nothing! Jaelynn is hit or miss with her treatments. Some treatments are easy and some she shakes her head back and forth the whole time making it a little more difficult.

That's it for now. Granny and Pop are coming tomorrow and we are taking Kaley to see Sesame Street Live on Friday! Mommy got a new camera and is looking forward to some photography lessons from Gramps when the girls are better! :)

Nothing beats father daughter time!

Just thought I would give a little face time to our first girl.

Taking a ride.

The girls with their masks.

My big girl is so good during her treatments!

This was a project from a while back.
I made the girls bow holders to hold some of their bows.
Yes, I said some...

We are hoping the girls get better soon because we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Stella who is due next week! We can't wait to be an Aunt/Uncle/cousins for the second time!

Little Miss Betty Crocker

Kaley LOVES to help in the kitchen in anyway she can, cooking, baking, cleaning, doing the dishes, putting away groceries-anything. Is it wishful thinking to hope this love for all things kitchen/domestic continue into her teenage years? ;)

Looking like she was caught in the act!

Stirring the cornbread batter.

Helping daddy pour it into the pan.

Sorry the quality is so poor I uploaded the smallest file size I could.

Share Some Love

I know that most of you all know my sister in law (Bethany). You may not know her personally but you know her through me talking about her or from reading about her family on my blog. Some of you even follow her blog (Making Memories with the Mazureks). But for those of you that don't follow her blog I wanted to share her most recent post.

Copied from Bethany's blog:
This is my best friend Erin and her (finally) fiance, Brent
Those of you who know me well know how much I love Erin. We met while we were both swimming at the University of Texas. We both trained as distance swimmers though neither of us truly was.
Those of you who know me well know that Erin was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2008. I jumped on a plane to California as soon as she let me, was able to tell her in person that I was pregnant and was there with her the day she heard the news she had no more cancer cells!
Those of you who know me know how much it meant to me when Erin flew in to surprise me for my baby shower! She's done so much for me over the years and I would do anything for her!
Those that frequent my blog may have linked to her's from my side bar, Erin's Daily Updates,to follow her on her journey while she kicked that cancer's ass (pardon my french).
There are many of you who may only know Erin through me, or even just through my blog, but she is one of the most wonderful people I know and she has found another in Brent. They want to get married in the fall of 2010 on the Cape in Massachusettes and they've entered a contest to help with that dream.
It takes a bit to cast your vote...you have to enter your email and set a password...but I don't know two people who are more deserving!
and pass along the word to anyone and everyone you know (feel free to even post on your own blogs to spread the word)!
Thanks in advance! ~Bethany

I have been a "lurker" on Erin's blog for a while and thought I would share this with all of you. So please take a minute to vote for Erin to win her dream wedding!

Won't You Be My Valentine?

Since Kaley is in MDO this year it was her first time to give out Valentine's to her friends/classmates. We made chocolate and vanilla covered pretzels to give to everyone in her class (mommy did more of the making while Kaley did more of the eating). This is the Valentine that we attached to the box.

Beautifully Bald!

I am loving my bald babes! It used to be a very sensitive subject - the lack of hair my girls were born with. However, I have come to appreciate the fact that they get to look like "babies" that much longer! I am in no hurry for them to grow up...plus I remember how much I fought (kicking and screaming) when my mom would try and fix my hair and I am just not ready to fight those daily battles. So until that day comes I will embrace the bald and cover that sweet little head with kisses!

Black and White

I just realized that some of the text on my last post got switched to black so you couldn't read it with the black background. Don't know how that happened but it is fixed now! So in case you missed some really important info.... ;)

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

**Update, We have gotten over a foot of snow!**
As many of you know (from living here) we woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. When we got up this morning there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground and it just kept coming and coming. It is 9:00PM and the news has reported that we have gotten somewhere around 10 inches and it is still snowing! Now Bethany, I know this is nothing compared to the blizzards you guys are having up there but here in Texas this is a blizzard! There are reasons I live in this great state and the lack of winter/snow is one of them! I am sure there will be many more pictures tomorrow but here are some from today.

8:30AM (2-3 inches)

2:00PM (6 inches)

5:00PM (7-8 inches)
Shoveling snow...
Into her mouth!

Yes, that is a mouth full of snow!

"Ahhhh, I ate it all!"
Please ignore the fact that Kaley has purple pants, a pink jacket, and a red, white and black hat on. Needless to say we don't have a whole lot of winter clothes so we had to make do. If you are wondering what her "mittens" are...I put two pairs of socks on her hands and then wrapped saran wrap around them. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do to have some fun in the snow!

Mommy's very first snowman...I should probably keep my day job!

So there are quite a few snowmen/women in the front yards around the neighborhood and lets just say if there were a contest I MIGHT be able to get last place in the toddler division. I tried to take some pictures of the others but it was snowing too hard and you couldn't make out anything in the pictures.
Granny and Pop, did you like Ms. Snowman's accessory??? That was just for you guys!
