Picture Book

Ok so I am updating in pictures. This past weekend we went down to Seabrook to visit Granny, Pop and Uncle Lee. We also got to see some of our good friends Casey Pettit, Dana and Michael, and Ms Jo! It was a great weekend and we have two more exciting weekends to come. Up next is Leigha's wedding in Midland. I can't wait to see my roomies from college. Then it is off to San Antonio to see more family.

I figure most people just want to see pictures so this is the way I am updating...

Daddy and I chowing down!

Sitting on the floor like a big girl playing with Grandma and Gramps Vasel, Scooter, and Bayla.

Kaley being a big girl doing her PT with Andrea! I am so thankful to work with such great therapists that I trust with my baby girl!

I got the mail!
Playing with Uncle Lee

Sitting on the table with my spatula.

Yummy watermelon!

First ride on the 6 wheeler!

Nap time

I love Casey!

Blueberries everywhere!

Kaley and Michael, I may be biased but aren't they the cutest ever! One day we will show this picture at their wedding! :)

Baby play time!

Going in for the kiss! Not really..the way it really happened is Kaley pulled Michael's hair and then Michael smooshed Kaley's face in. It must be love!

Mommy, that boy wore me out!

Look at that crazy hair!

We love being able to share our joy with all of you. We are truly blessed and I cannot thank God enough for all that He has given me and my family!
We would also like to send our thoughts and love to our friends Megan and Ray who just welcomed their little girl Ruby Denise Clark into the world last week, May 13! She is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to have play dates. I am sure Kaley and Ruby will be the best of friends! And to some other friends who will remain nameless...we love you and are here for you always. You are in our prayers!

Mommy's Day

We are all terribly sorry that the posting has been few and far between lately. Life at the Vasel house has been extremely hectic and while we love to keep everyone updated sometimes it is just not at the top of the to do list. So anyways, today on mother's day I decided that this is what I wanted to do. It may not be a very exciting way to spend the day but I enjoy doing the layouts and telling everyone about my amazing family.

Do you like the new layout? I do! I have been so envious of all my friends that have created super cute blogs and I have finally found some time to work on ours. You would think that my husband being the computer guy would be the one to do all this but no, it's me! I have to say that I have been very proud of myself for figuring it out on my own without too much of his help. Although it has been nice that some of the other girls at work have gotten into it too so we can all help each other!

As most of you know John has been on the go this past month so it has been hard being a "single" parent. Luckily for me that single can be in quotes and not permanent. I have all the respect in the world for all the single parents out there. You are all amazing in all that you do. I am also very lucky to have awesome in-laws that help me out oh so much! I am not sure how I would survive without them. From taking Kaley to appointments to coming over and putting on the front door knob that fell off...what would I do without them?

Daddy came home Friday and is home for good for a while (or so we hope). Uncle Lee and Pop were also here this weekend. It was great to see them and we got to go out on Saturday night to celebrate Lee's 21st birthday (which was really Thursday). It was my first time out in over a year and we had a great time, although I did miss my baby girl.

I was planning on posting more; however, time has gotten away from me so I will post this now and continue it later. I had am putting up a video of Kaley in the bath because it is the cutest thing ever but of course as soon as I got the video camera out tonight she was fussy. So here she is playing/fussing in the tub!

I'm A Big Girl!!

I'm a big girl now! I don't have much time to write because it is bedtime but I am so excited to be 6 months old and just wanted to take a moment to look back and reminisce over the last 6 months...From mommy looking like a beached whale to me as a big girl in my helmet! Have fun looking and mommy will post as soon as she has a spare moment to think.
Love,
Kaley Marilynn
PS~I love my new home!
