My Little Girl and My Baby Girl

There has been no denying for a while now that my baby girl is growing up.  When I think that she has less than 3 months before she is a big sister and less than 4 months until she is 2 I am overcome with emotion.  It still seems like we were bringing her home from the hospital just yesterday and yet soon we will be bringing another sweet baby girl home to meet her big sister! I love the little girl that my baby has become!

My little girl with her "Big Girl" pigtails!

Some pictures of my baby girl!
I took pictures of the sonogram pictures we got so they didn't upload very clearly...
Here is her face, or at least part of it...the dark shadow on the bottom is from her foot.
I know it is hard to make out but you can kind of see her eye, nose and cheek.
Little feet!
We started our potty training weekend yesterday afternoon when we got home from the doctor and so far so good.  Yesterday we had quite a few accidents but ended on a good note last night with success right before bed!  We are only focusing on daytime training because I would much prefer her to sleep through the night than stay dry (for now...).  Since she woke up this morning we have only had one accident so far!  She is wearing her big girl Elmo panties and she loves to make sure that she doesn't get Elmo wet!  She keeps saying "No peepee Elmo. Elmo cry."  She is also walking around saying "Mommy so proud me" because I keep tell her how proud of her I am for going potty like a big girl!  She is doing such a good job so far and we are just praying it continues!
Priceless!

How you doin'?

UPDATE~I am not sure why the picture works some times and not others so I thought I would try something different.  Here is Jaelynn's bedding.  No, this is not the bedding Jodi is making. She is making bedding for Kaley's room!

The pregnancy ticker at the top of my blog says it all this week!  Don't get me wrong I love that people care enough to ask but when you get that same question 100 times a day it starts to wear on you.  Luckily when people ask I am able to give them a good report!  I am so thankful to have had such easy pregnancies.  A few weeks ago I was having some SI pain but even that has subsided now and everything is just peachy!  I go back in to the doctor on Friday morning and as always we are excited to get to see our little girl on the sonogram!  I can't believe that there are only 3 months left to go!  So much to do before Jaelynn makes her debut!!! (You would know I am not exaggerating if you saw Jaelynn's room right now!)  We should be getting her bedding this week or next so that will definitely allow us to get a jump start on the painting and organizing!  Here is a picture of Jaelynn's bedding in case you haven't seen it.

Kaley is keeping us as busy as can be!  She is so active and we just have a ton of fun with her everyday!  This weekend we had two birthday celebrations, Grandma's on Friday and the Isaiah's on Saturday.  Kaley spent most of Isaiah's party in the blow up pool while the other kids took turns going down the 30 foot inflatable water slide!  It was a little to fast for Kaley (and too many bigger kids).  This weekend also consisted of pulling weeds and washing the car with daddy, shopping with mommy and some pool time with some of mommy's work friends!

Pulling weeds with daddy.
All by her big girl self!
Swimming with daddy!
Daddy, Kaley, Justin, Carolyn, and Ricky having some fun!
Relaxing with Daddy after a long day!

And so I leave you with this...
Kaley, I think those shorts are on the wrong end!

Thanks Pop!

As you know from previous posts over the 4th of July weekend we went down to Houston to visit my parents!  Part of the reason we made the trip was because Pop had bought Kaley and Jaelynn a table and chairs set that Kaley and Pop needed to put together.  Well since then Kaley spends quite a bit of time at her table coloring, doing puzzles, and the newest activity...playing with play-doh!  She absolutely loves her table and her OT mommy is loving it too because it has really helped her fine motor skills develop over the past couple of weeks!  I know, I know, my poor child has a therapist for a mom!  I know all my therapist friends understand!  So, Thanks Pop, your the best!

25 down, 15 to go

I can't believe I am already 25 weeks pregnant!  Wow, this second pregnancy is going by so fast compared to the first!  I am sure I can thank my very active 20 month old daughter for keeping me on my toes these past 25 weeks.  We had a prenatal appointment this past Thursday and everything looked good.  My blood pressure was still good and Jaelynn was moving around quite a bit (as I already new even without the ultrasound) but it was fun to see her.  Her heartbeat was strong and as always music to our ears! I think Kaley really enjoyed getting to see baby sissy on the sonogram.  I absolutely LOVE getting to have a sonogram each visit; I love seeing the changes in her each time we go in.  I am now going in every three weeks so my next appointment is Friday, July 23 which is when I will be doing my glucose test.  I am still feeling great (some SI pain and such but nothing I can't handle) and am just enjoying feeling my little girl move all about! That's all for now, please keep praying for a healthy baby and a smooth pregnancy!  Oh yeah, and the Dr said that it is still a girl!  (I make him check each visit just to reassure me that nothing popped up!)

There are lots of new posts and pictures below so make sure you see them all!

Fourth with Family

We had a great holiday weekend down in Seabrook with my parents and little brother!  I love any chance I get to spend time with my family!  We spent the weekend relaxing around the house, going swimming, putting together Kaley (and Jaelynn's) table and chairs, visiting with friends, driving the 6-wheeler, watching fireworks, playing games and eating lots of yummy food!

Kaley asleep on the drive down!
Helping Pop assemble her new table and chairs.
(Check out that hammer!)

Then the fun really started...
Kaley found a pair of Pops underwear and
managed to get them on...
Don't worry they were clean!
We also got to spend a little bit of time with Dana and Michael!
It was so much fun to watch the kids play and interact with each other!
Yummy corn!
Reading with Pop!
Driving with Pop!
Bath time in granny and Pop's big tub!

Resting
Fun with cow!
Sleeping in Granny's arms!

It was a very fun, eventful weekend and by the end Kaley was exhausted!  However, she was a trooper all weekend!  We are so blessed to have such an easy going, flexible little girl.

Potty Training Take 1

Well, we have started the initial stages of potty training with Kaley and so far she is doing as well as can be expected.  We are really wanting to do the three day "intensive" but we just haven't had the time.  So far she has had a few successes and a few accidents but it has been a fun beginning in the journey to big girl panties!  Anyways, I am sure she will hate me one day for posting these pictures but I had to snap a few!

Big girl Elmo panties!
Maybe....
Washing hands afterwards!
(Look how skinny she looks...and yet she eats and eats and eats)
