Movie Monday-Let's Jump

It's that time of the week...Movie Monday! This is another random clip movie monday. Kaley has been "jumping rope" with Bayla's leash lately so I finally pulled out my old jump ropes and cut one so it would be Kaley-size. Of course she does her own version of jumping but it is fun! She is pretty impressed with mom's cool jump rope tricks too. I can't believe I am actually posting a video of me jumping on the internet but had to show my mom I still got it (well some of it and not nearly as graceful as I used to be!). Jaelynn has also started playing baby games so I got some of the ever typical "So Big" on camera as well as a couple of "more" signs. Of course she does a modified sign but has done it multiple times to request more (food of course) yesterday and today! It is so exciting when they finally really start communicating their wants and needs without just crying or squealing. Looking forward to seeing her learn more signs and eventually start talking! Love my girls and love sharing them with you!

Movie Monday-Cheating

In a way I am cheating on my Movie Monday post because I posted this on FB last week but (as hard as it is to believe) not everyone I know is on FB. So this Movie Monday is more geared towards anyone that doesn't FB or isn't friends with me on FB. Although if you follow my blog, are on FB and we aren't friends ??? As most of you know Kaley is a TALKER (just like her momma!). However, she is also very shy. At MDO and swim lessons she is so quiet but talks about them at home all the time. So I thought I would video her talking about swim lessons so her instructors could see how much she loves it. Sorry to disappoint those of you who have seen this and were looking for a new video-I was sick today and was lucky to get this up.

I Like The Way You Move

Jaelynn started crawling this evening! She has been army crawling and rolling and other types of getting around but tonight she did her first official crawl on hands and knees! She is 8 months and six days old-about a month younger then Kaley was when she started to crawl. She isn't fast by any means and still a little uncoordinated but I have a feeling in another week or so we will be chasing her around! This will make for some fun and crazy times when Em and I are watching the kiddos! The video is actually the second or third time she crawled. I think it is pretty good considering she just started crawling about a minute and a half before I took the video...but, I am the mom! :)

Movie Monday-Ride 'Em Cowgirl

Ok so it's not the best Movie Monday post but I can't seem to find the video camera so I just had to use a couple of the videos I took on the regular camera. Anyways, the first two clips are of Kaley riding her horse. The first one is right after she got it and she is 13 or 14 months old and the second is from a few weeks ago...a little different in her riding style from then to now. The third clip is of Jaelynn on her duck and mimicking daddy's fake laugh. I just love the look she gives John at the very end! Hopefully I will find the video camera soon so I can take more video and post the ones I was planning on posting!

GR8!

Better L8 then never, right?

Two thirds of a year have already gone by since God blessed our family with Jaelynn Lee. She is such an alert, active, good-natured, wide-eyed, cheerful, curious, sweet, silly, energetic, joyful, loveable, happy girl and fills our lives with more joy and love than we could have ever believed possible! The other day I was thinking back to when Kaley was an infant and even when I was pregnant with Jaelynn and everyone kept telling us to get ready to have a little terror on our hands with our second because our first child had been so good and you didn't get that lucky twice! All I do is laugh about it now because God has given us 2 flexible, easy going, content, and happy babies! Now I am sure because our "babies" have been so "easy" we are due for some very trying toddler, adolescent or teenage years but we will take them as they come and treasure our sweet girls with each new stage!

~I have no idea how much she weighs or how tall/long she is but maybe I will do my own measurements some time this week.

~Size 2 diapers

~Still primarily in 3-6 month clothes but can also do some 6 month. Shoes still don't fit very well she can wear 0-6 month PediPeds but other than that her feet are too fat for newborn shoes and too little for anything bigger.

~Sleeps 11-14 hours at night and takes 2 naps anywhere from 1.5-3 hours each.

~Gets up on hands and knees and rocks, brings knees forward but still not too sure what to do with her arms.

~Gets into the bear crawl position

~Very squirmy during diaper changes and getting dressed

~Rolls and scoots on her belly EVERYWHERE! Sees something she wants and gets to where it is very quickly!

~Eats primarily all finger foods but every now and then wants purees.

~Drinking water from sippy cup

~Loves to bounce in her exersaucer or jumperoo

~Enjoys pool time in her turtle float

~Loves taking a bath like a big girl with her big sister (she has been in the big bath tub with sister since she grew out of the infant one but loves it now that she can sit up like sister)

~Fake coughs when she hears someone else cough

~Very ticklish (just like her mommy)

~Wraps her arms around you and buries her head in your neck when she wakes up from her nap.

~Cries when you walk out of the room (which mommy secretly loves)

~Babbling like crazy and is very loud (yet another trait inherited from mommy)

~Loves her puppy and is constantly tugging on her ears, lips, tail anything she can get her hands on

~Loves to play peek-a-boo, pat-a-cake, happy and you know it

~Shakes her head back and forth when she is all done eating

Movie Monday-My Girls

A new kind of Movie Monday post today. I already uploaded this on FB since blogger was down but to me it doesn't count unless it's on the blog! I need to document everything so when my memory begins to fail (and FB somehow goes under) I can come and read about it here. Just a "few" photos of my sweet little ones. It was just one of those times I couldn't decide which pictures to upload because I love them all for different reasons! The music was supposed to repeat and go through all of Jaelynn's pictures but there must have been some type of user error so just sing it to yourself as you watch the rest! :)

Seabrook, Sunshine, and Sunbathing

I am finally getting around to posting pictures from our visit to my parents house! We had so much fun (as always) visiting Granny and Pop. Sure wish they lived closer. We went to Kemah to hang out with Dana and Michael, played poolside, did some baking, and enjoyed some yummy watermelon along with many other things! We sure do love spending time with Granny and Pop!
