Sister, Sister

(You have to sing the title of the post like the theme song from the show Sister, Sister)

Just a quick update because there are a ton of pictures to let you know what we have been up to. Things are great here! Jaelynn had her two week check-up last Friday and she was 7lbs 10oz and 20.75 inches long! That is almost 2 inches in 2 weeks (19 inches at birth)...granted that is with 2 different people measuring her but still. Anyways, John went back to work this week so the girls and I have had lots of mother daughter bonding time! It has been fun and not nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be to juggle two under two. Luckily I won't be in that club for much longer...Kaley turns two a week from tomorrow! Kaley is an awesome big sister and absolutely LOVES her little sis. It is so sweet to watch her with Jaelynn. On to the pics...

Already telling secrets.

Director's Commentary

So my computer/internet was being very weird when I posted the videos (below) so I just added another post for the written part...The first video is (obviously) from before I had Jaelynn.  We met Emily, Just and Hayden up at our neighborhood park one day to play!  Kaley absolutely LOVES "Emy, Justin and Baby Hayden".  She talks about them all the time.  The second video is of Jaelynn at 4 days old.  I just wanted to capture some of her early moments on camera.  The third video (is looooong) but how can your heart not fill with joy when you hear your little one sing about Jesus' Love!!!  I also just thought she was too cute when she was watching herself on the display as I was videoing her.  Enjoy!

Sunbathing Sleeping Beauties

Since both girls had a touch of jaundice it has been like deja vu with the sunbathing.  The first two pictures are Kaley sunbathing at 7 days old and the last picture is Jaelynn sunbathing today at 8 days old.

Sisters, misters, and accessories of course!

Big sister Kaley watching over her little sister!
Kaley loves holding her little sister!
She is already a great big sister!
Love love love!

Hayden finally got to meet Little Miss Jaelynn!
I am sure we will have many many more pictures of the two of them over the years to come!
But these will always be the first ones taken!

Tummy time with big sister!

"Mommy something's missing..."
"Which one should I wear?"

We are all great and just enjoying our time as a family with our newest addition!  Kaley has taken the role of big sister quite well so far.  She wants to see her little sister first thing when she wakes up in the morning or from a nap.  She helps change diapers, gives Jaelynn her pacifier, draws her pictures, rubs/pats her, holds her, and is always concerned if sister cries!  So far she is transitioning into this new role like a pro!  Mommy and daddy are also transitioning well.  It is definitely different this time around having two; but we are enjoying each and every moment.  So far Jaelynn is taking after her big sister in so many ways!  She is sleeping and eating like a champ.  We have to set our alarm at night to wake up and feed her every three hours and she really only fusses when she needs a diaper change or gets hungry.  We hope she continues to take after her sister in the sleeping and temperament categories!  While she takes after Kaley in many ways we can already see a difference between the two and are just enjoying getting to know this little one!  I am so blessed to have these two amazing daughters and one super amazing husband to help raise them.  I can't believe that tomorrow she will be one week old?  Where have the past 6 days gone?
