Short-n-sweet

I just couldn't resist sharing this face!
What happens when Daddy is left home alone with Kaley!

Kaley's New Role

Yes, you heard it correctly!!  Kaley is going to be a Big Sister in October!  This Vasel family is expecting Little Bit #2 October 21!  We cannot express how excited we are to be adding another little one to our family.  We went to our first appointment March 6th and I was measuring at 7 weeks (so a little further behind where they thought).  I am going to a different doctor this time around.  He is the doctor that pretty much everyone at my work that is pregnant goes to (and that is a lot of pregnant ladies).  We were really impressed with him and like him a lot already.  We are also excited because this doctor does a sonogram at every visit so we will get to see our little one quite a few times!  The doctor talked to us for a while about the complications I had with my blood pressure with Kaley and how since it happened so late in my pregnancy that it does not necessarily mean that it will happen this time around.  I do have a slightly higher chance than any other second time mom but not by much.  He assured me that as we get further into the pregnancy we will watch my blood pressure carefully.  I am not sure what else to say but I guess I will just answer some of the most FAQ I get now that we are sharing our news...
1. How far along are you?
9 weeks

2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good, no morning sickness (Praise God!), just tired and not wanting to eat anything, but hungry all the time.

3. Do you want a boy or a girl?
We really don't have a preference this time around.  We would love a boy to have one of each but after having Kaley we are so in love with little girls we wouldn't mind another one (plus we already have all the girl stuff!).

4. Do you have a feeling about the sex?
I think it is a girl!  I have absolutely nothing to base that on, just a feeling.  I have a couple of friends (Megan and Emily) who think it is a boy so we shall see...

5. When do you find out the sex?
We will find out at 16 weeks, so a little less than 7 weeks to go!

6. How far apart will Kaley and the new baby be?
For those of you not wanting to do the math they will be 23 months apart.

If any other questions come up I will add them but for now I guess that is it!  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers over the next 31+ weeks as we prepare for this baby and welcome him/her into our family!

More Marley!!

Just wanted to share some more pictures of my beautiful niece! Bethany's mom and sister sent these pictures to Granny so I thought I would share them with everyone since Brett and Bethany can't post pictures on their blog from the hospital!

Marley's Here!!

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update! My brother and sister-in-law welcomed their baby girl Marley Christine Mazurek into this world this morning! Marley weighed in at 8 lbs 7 oz and 21 inches long! Mom and baby are doing well! I am a little jealous because I think she already has more hair than Kaley (hehe)! Check out that "rockstar mowhawk" as my brother calls it! She is definitely his daughter (for all who know my brother)! Brett tells me she also has a set of lungs on her that he claims she got from her Auntie Em! I am sure glad I was able to pass along something!

We love you Mazurek family and can't wait to see you and meet Marley in May!
