Child Prodigy Update

If you haven't read he previous post scroll down and read it first!

Daddy tampered with Kaley's magnets before he took the pictures.  This is what the fridge really said!

But Daddy we love you too!

Child prodigy?...and other things

So Kaley was playing with her refrigerator magnets this morning and it appears that Kaley is a baby genius.  She spelled out a phrase on the fridge all by herself.  She never ceases to amaze us every single day.  Look how she used an upside down J and an exclamation point.  How adorable.  We will keep you posted if she does anything crazy with her magnets.

Pop came into town last weekend to help put some cabinets in our laundry room.  Kaley decided to strap on some overalls and bust out her tool set that she got from Uncle Brett and Aunt Bethany and help out.  Thats all for now...just a quick post and some pics.

Update

Just wanted to give everyone an update...Kaley is still sick and has now given her wonderful stomach virus to both mommy and daddy!  I know on the last post I said she was doing better and she was but she took another turn for the not so good.  Kaley has now been sick for almost 3 days and it is the worst thing imaginable to watch your child be sick when there is nothing you can do.  Although...I take that back.  There is something worse, being sick right along side your child and not feeling like you can take care of her the way you want to because you are sitting in the same position.  Needless to say it has been a rough weekend.  We could really use some prayers for healing.

Love Bug

Happy Valentine's Day! I cannot believe it is the middle of February and that Kaley is 15 months old! Things are busy and eventful as always around the Vasel house! Kaley is running around everywhere. Earlier I was looking through some pictures of her at this time last year and I just cannot get over how much she has changed. She is really growing up. Thursday we had our 15 month check-up with the Dr and he said that at the next appointment (18 months) we would discuss potty training and time-out. WOOHOO for potty training. Although knowing how easy kaley has been up until this point I am sure she will be one of those kids who isn't ready to potty train until she is like 16! :) Haha! But seriously everything has been a piece of cake up until this point! She has really been the perfect child; good temperment, sleeps great, eats great, never really been sick (except for today..more about that later!)...I mean everything that people told us would be hard, not sleeping through the night, transitioning to a bottle, transitioning to solid foods, teething, etc has all been great. We really haven't had difficulties with any of those things and all I can do is praise God for that! Although, I am sure He is up there somewhere just smiling down on me and thinking to Himself, "Emily this baby I made to take after John, the next one will be you to a T!" That is when I will really be in trouble!

Anyways, back to the her being sick today part! My poor baby woke up this morning throwing up. She threw up about every 15 minutes for 2-2.5 hours. However, in between bouts she as her normal cheerful self! She took a nap and then after she woke up she threw up 2 more times and has been perfectly fine ever since! I am guessing she ate something and had to get it out of her system (she never ran a fever and didn't appear to feel bad) but who knows what it was! Anyways, she is doing great now and was definitely a trooper through the whole morning!

A few posts ago (Growing Up) I talked about how many words Kaley has...well she continues to expand her communication skills everyday! She has more and more words, is putting two simple words together and is doing more signs too! Her favorite two word phrases are "Hi mommy", "Hi daddy", "Go go Bye-bye" (which sounds like doe doe bye bye), "pay (play) toy" and anything she wants (baba, apple, waffle which is wawa, nigh nigh, etc) now is "_____ pease". It is so super cute to have her talk to you. She is also much more into the carrying on conversations and answering yes/no questions with "yeah" and "no-no-no".

Cute story....A week or so ago it was time for bed and Kaley had told John and I she wanted to go "nigh nigh, up". So she started to walk towards the stairs and then stopped and turned around to John and started talking in her jibberish. Then John responded saying something about "Ok, nigh nigh we will see you in the morning. Sleep well." Kaley immediately responded with something else in her own language and they went back and forth a couple of times until John finally said "Do you need me to take you upstairs and tuck you in?" Kaley promptly replied "Yes". It was SO cute.

Ok ok enough of the written part of the post let us get to the pictures!
