The Hunt Begins

Kaley participated in her first real Easter egg hunt on Sunday. Our neighborhood had a get together up at our neighborhood park and we had a really great time getting to know some of the other families. I cannot believe how many babies there are in our neighborhood. We met 2 (baby boys) who were born within 2 weeks of Jaelynn that live on Justin and Emily's street. It is fun to think of what it will be like when they are all school aged! Anyways, we had practiced finding Easter eggs in the backyard so that Kaley would understand but I think it was still a little overwhelming because of how many people/kids there were that just bolted towards the eggs. She found about 6 (which was PLENTY of candy for a 2 year old) and was very excited open them and see what "special treats" she got. She did not get any of the prize eggs or the eggs with $ in them (yes, one family filled their eggs with dollars!) but she sure had fun.

One of her favorite places in the world before the hunt.

Searching...

Demolishing a cupcake afterwards.

As happy as a lark!

I just fall in love with that little girl more and more each day! She is such a smart and caring little one with a very mischievous side to her! She truly amazes everyday and I couldn't be more proud to be her mommy!

Rockin' sister to sleep.

Kissin' sister goodnight.

Fixin' the bubble machine.

Playin' with Daddy!

Studyin' something.

Smilin' at Mama/

Concentratin' on the toys.

Gigglin' in the bath!

Aunt Bethany, in case you were wondering those are the same pants you got Kaley last year. And yes, the 12 month size is still too big! I just bought her some 18 month shorts from Gymbo and have to return them for the 12 month ones.

21?!?

I won't be writing a whole lot in this post since there are 21 pictures below!!! A little overboard?

I really wish mother nature would make up her mind...75 degrees and sunny one day, 60 degrees and windy another day, and then 30 degrees and snowing on what is supposed to be the first day of Spring! I am ready for warm weather and beautiful sunny skies on a daily basis! We have definitely taken advantage of those intermittent nice days we have been having.

The Cruz's came over for dinner last weekend!
AJ surrounded by beautiful girls!

Bounce house fun!

Check out that hair!

Enjoying the nice weather.

Helping Gramma make onion rings. YUMMY!

Quality time with Aunt Emma

On Friday we went to the Keller "castle" park as a family to play and have a picnic! It was very windy but we had a great time.

Kaley made a new friend (Kylee).

Taking a "rest" on the swing.

Climbing around the castle.

Playing in the leaves.

Daddy showing her how to use the shovel.

Digging

Waiting patiently for her turn with the shovel.

Daddy and sister. She was worn out!

Kaley's favorite.

And then there was snow...and Uncle Lee!!!

Talking to "Aunt" Ashley.

Sad that Uncle Lee was about to leave...

Giving Uncle Lee goodbye smooches!
She LoOoves her uncle!

Luck O' the Irish

It's St. Patty's Day! I have never been a big St. Patty's day celebrator but now it is just a great excuse to make sure the girls have a green outfit to wear! Hehe. Anyways, It was my day to watch Hayden so I made sure my girls had on their green and told Kaley that Hayden would be wearing green too. Except...Hayden comes in without any green on! Uh oh...he is lucky I didn't tell Kaley about the pinching part of St. Patty's Day ;) No worries, Em ran home and got him a green shirt (just so I could take pictures of all of them in their green). Whew! (Wipe brow with back of hand.) Crisis averted!

Green play time!

Picture time!!!
Squinting into the sun!

I love this picture!
What you don't know is that I am doing everything I can (making silly faces/sounds, shaking toys, calling their names) to get them to look at me! These three are definitely dog lovers!

I am all about facilitating development as much as I can...
But with Hayden it is really just about brainwashing
to make sure he picks the right college!

Love that little impish grin!

I think her head is finally bigger than the hair accessory! :)

You Can Call Me...

Auntie Em! Well, this post is better late than never! Although, I am getting it up before Bethany so....hehe! :) Just teasing you sister-in-law(SIL)! This past weekend was a pretty crazy one for the Virginia Mazurek Family. They were busy celebrating sweet Marley Christine's first birthday. We really wish we could have been there to celebrate it with them but no such luck. On March 13, 2009 this sweet baby girl made me an Aunt! She is such a blessing to our family and I am so lucky for her to (eventually) call me Auntie Em! Who knew you could love a child who isn't your own so much? My heart is filled with so much love and joy for this precious girl! Happy Birthday Marley Christine! You are so loved by your Auntie Em, Uncle John, Cousin Kaley and Cousin Jaelynn!

5...5 dollar...

5 months?!? No, no, no my baby can not be one month shy of half a year. It just isn't possible. I had a hard time coming to terms with Kaley getting older and this time around it is both easier and harder at the same time. It is easier because I look forward to each and every new stage and know how much fun comes with each new stage. But...it is harder because I often catch myself thinking, "Is this the last time I will have a newborn/1/2/3/4/5 month old? Will I go through this again or do I need to make sure I remember this forever." Not that I don't try to remember every little thing she does (and Kaley did) and how I felt at the time...but as many of you know no matter how much you want to(and think you will) you just simply CAN'T remember everything. I don't know what God has planned for us in terms of our family (or anything else for that matter) but I am constantly reminding myself to treasure each "baby" moment because I may not have another baby. More on this at some other time (maybe). Let's get on with the monthly update.
~a little over 13 lbs (mom's estimate)
~ size 1-2 diapers
~at 5 months old this girl STILL wears 0-3 month clothing in multiple brands as well as some 3-6 month (most of which is still big)
~sleeping patterns have been random ever since she got sick-some nights she wakes up at 3 or 4 in the morning and other nights she sleeps until 7 or 8 in the morning...who knows?!
~can sit independently (with mommy nearby to catch her) for very short periods of time (when she wants to)
~chatters/babbles/yells/vocalizes very loudly (she may not look like me but how can you deny that this child is mine)
~showing more interest in Bayla (grabbing her skin and ears anytime she is near)
~reaching and grabbing anything and everything that is near
~loves to blow raspberries and therefore soaks her clothes
~still not rolling from back to tummy but she sure will twist and turn her little body and head as far as she can to see something or someone
~loves to play in her exersaucer and on her play mat
~started cereal and peas but then she got sick and refused to eat any solids...back on cereal, does not like peas (just like her momma) and about to try green beans and sweet potatoes.
~starting to hold the bottle
~getting used to Hayden finding her wherever she is, climbing on top of her and
eating her face kissing her! :)
~is no longer the baby of the family (on daddy's side)
~looking forward to meeting everyone on Mommy's side of the family at Easter!
~is so loved by her big sister, mommy and daddy!

*Warning the following video is long and loud!
Don't feel like you have to watch all 4 minutes of her squealing.
That is all it is I just didn't feel like editing it.
