Non-stop
I apologize for not keeping you all up to date but life has just been busy. Since the last time I blogged a lot has happened. We went to Midland for Leigha's wedding, went to San Antonio to visit family, John and I went on a date, Granny came to visit, I had a birthday and today is Father's Day.
Let's start from the beginning: 1. Leigha's wedding - we were a little worried about how Kaley would do at the wedding but she was a perfect angel! Although when is our little one not? (Yes, I am bragging but I feel so blessed to have such a great baby that I can't help it.) Leigha looked beautiful and it was great to spend time with my roommates from college.
2. San Antonio - then it was off to SA to visit family. My Aunt and Uncle along with their 5 children were visiting so we decided to go down since they had not met Kaley yet. My parents and little brother met us there. We had such a great time. We had a family putting contest, played family card games, played the Wii, and just hung out. Everyone loved Kaley and were just amazed at what a sweet girl she is. On our way home we stopped at the outlets in San Marcos...I could have spent weeks there!
3. Date night - John and I went on our third date since Kaley was born. First was our anniversary, then to a Stars game, and this one to see Sex and the City and then dinner at Olive Garden. It was nice to have some time alone but we both missed our little one while we were gone.
4. Granny's visit - Granny came to visit on Thursday because she needed to go shopping. So we had a girls day and did lots of shopping. I was a bit worried because my mom is anything but a shopper. She absolutely hates to shop. But we had a really good time and she found lots of stuff. She leaves tomorrow for Ireland with her mom!
5. Mommy's 24th birthday! - On Friday the 13 I turned 24. As the blurb above said we spent the day shopping (not for me but I did get a couple of things.). After shopping we went to Benihana's for dinner where I was surprised to see Susan, as well as Megan Ray and baby Ruby! Come to find out my husband had invited quite a few of our friends to surprise me but it seemed like most everyone was out of town! Oh well, we had a great time! It was a perfect birthday! I got a MacBook which I have been wanting so that I can edit our home videos and I also got a dual screen digital picture frame! John made me a pineapple upside down cake (which as most of you know is my absolute favorite) and it was just as good as moms!
6. Daddy's Day - Today is all about daddy...unfortunately he is not feeling so hot! Poor daddy. He got a grill set (spatula, cleaning brush, tongs, etc.) for our new grill. His parent's got us a gas grill for birthdays/mothers/fathers day! Then we had a special lunch and went to the dog park. From what I could tell John had a nice relaxing father's day (he took 2 naps!).
Well that is a wrap up of what we have been up to. We are continuing to unpack and get the house in order. I am not sure we will ever be finished but it is definitely coming along. As for Kaley, she is still as wonderful as can be. She is rolling everywhere and no longer has to wear her helmet! It is hard to believe she is 7 months old. I wish time would just stand still and let me enjoy this time a little longer. I don't want my baby to grow up! Pretty soon she will be crawling and cruising and then I may never get a chance to update. I am sorry it has taken so long to write. I keep telling myself that if I update more often I won't have to write as much! One day I will take my own advice.
Thanks for checking in! I would say check back soon for more but you know how that goes.
