I realize it has been a little while since my last true "update" on the goings on in our life I figure we have a lot of catching up to do. I know that many of you know what has been going on but for those whom I have not kept in contact with on a regular basis I will make it short and sweet:
- My sweet Kaley girl potty trained like a champ! Now we haven't done night training yet because I would rather enjoy my sleep than get up every two-three hours to take her to the bathroom but during the day she is in big girl (mostly Elmo) panties and goes on the potty. She hasn't had an accident in a week or so and John and I are just so proud of her. I am a little worried about this coming week with the changes that will be happening and how that will affect her pottying. (More to come on those changes)
- We have had some visitors coming and going, Granny, Pop, Uncle Lee, and Uncle Richard have all been in and out of town this past month. It has been great to see all of them and Kaley just loves having family here.
- We have been very busy getting the girl's rooms put together as you know from previous posts and we are very close to being done. I still need to figure out what to do with one wall in Jaelynn's room and have a lot of wall decorating to do in Kaley's since there is so much wall space! My friend Jodi from work finished Kaley's comforter and Kaley is very excited to get to use it for the first time! It looks AWESOME and I can't wait to get a picture to show everyone.
- Jaelynn and I are great! We have been going to the Dr every 2 weeks and will be going again this Friday, then only one more 2 week appointment before we move to every week. Can you believe how close we are? It is crazy that there are only 7 weeks until my due date! So far my blood pressure has been good and the Dr is keeping a close watch on it! I will keep you all updated on a more regular basis about Little Miss as we get closer.
- Kaley is still enjoying swim lessons each week (mommy not so much enjoying getting into a swimsuit)! We were planning on taking a break this fall and not enroll her in another class until the spring because of Jaelynn but then we found out that she only has to have a parent in the water with her for the first 6-8 weeks and then she is on her own! She LOVES the water and continues to impress me each week with what she is able to do in the pool. Daddy is going to hopefully be the one to get in with her for the first 6-8 weeks of this class which will be fun for the two of them to do together.
- This past week we all went to Meet the Teacher day for Kaley's new 'big girl school"/Mother's Day Out. While we were there they decided to bump her up to the older class because she was the only one potty trained in her class and her classroom didn't have a potty. I think this makes her the youngest in her class but only by a month or so. She had so much fun in the one hour we were there and I know she is going to love it! When I told her it was time to go she continued right on playing and said "Bye Bye Mommy"! She starts on Tuesday so this week should be interesting with us trying to get on a new schedule. I am hoping that Kaley won't have a regression in her potty training but we will see. I am most worried that she won't want to take the time out of playing to go potty but you never know.
GO COWBOYS!
