4 months - Doctor's Office and Solid Food

Kaley turned 4 months old last Friday and celebrated by taking another trip to the doctor's office for a check-up. The appointment started off well with Kaley getting weighed and measured. Kaley is now 13 lbs. and is 25in. tall. Then things started going south when the doctor had to clean out her ears and give her a shot. She didn't like that too much. We have never seen so many tears in our lives. To stop the tears Mommy took Kaley on a shopping spree and bought lots of new outfits. That made everything better.

Kaley has changed so much in the last few weeks. She has rolled over a few times, she has started reaching for things, and I think we heard our first laugh last night.

Kaley started her solid food over the weekend. We introduced her to some rice cereal mixed with grape juice and water...yummy. Her reactions to the new tastes were adorable. We got lots of pictures and video of her first bites. She is very uncoordinated but it seems like everyday she has more and more food stay in her mouth instead of coming back out onto her bib.

Uncle Lee is coming into town this weekend and has actually volunteered to babysit so Mommy and Daddy can go out for a night on the town. We'll see how that goes.

The new house has made good progress. We have a scheduled walk through with the builders in about a week and we are still on schedule to close at the end of the month. We are so excited and can't wait to be out of our apartment.

Other than that we are just taking everything one day at a time and trying to enjoy every moment with our daughter as she starts growing up.
